Beat the Heat, Cultivate Your Internal Cool

staying cool photo.png

Spend an evening with licensed acupuncturist and birth doula, Nhimsa Champaneri, who will share healing foods, plants and herbs to moisten and nourish the body during the dry/hot season. Too much heat and dryness can create an excess of "fire" energy within the body and cause a number of ailments, including insomnia, anxiety, stress, chronic pain, dry skin, mouth and throat, and much more.

Enjoy a rejuvenating cup of Goji Berry and Marshmellow Root tea - learn how to brew it - and discover its healing benefits to protect you from excess fire energy. You’ll also experience the moistening benefits of honey, used both topically and internally, to keep your skin healthy and beautiful.

Nhimsa will share other helpful techniques, all revolving around expelling excess heat from the heart and lungs, and moistening the liver and the kidneys to keep your system in balance through the summer time and beyond.
