Come Celebrate!

Remember to celebrate the Lunar New Year today with us at Community Acupuncture + Natural Health! You can get your weekend started off on the right foot with a morning full of Qigong, and bring your kids along for food, music and festivities in the afternoon. You're welcome to purchase admission (kids are free to the afternoon activities) at the door, but we'd love it if you could follow the links to pre-register at the bottom of this post. Here's the preview of the day.

We're very fortunate to have such a great community of knowledgeable and talented people that generously share their gifts! I am looking forward to listening to an insightful lecture by Louisa Suta, a local acupuncturist, on the subject of the coming New Year, the "Year of the Earth Dog." It's apparently supposed to be a good year, and I am always happy to hear good news! Louisa's lecture begins at 2:00pm (doors open at 1:30pm), and we'll have handouts for everyone attending that summarize the significance of the coming year for all signs of the Chinese Zodiac.

When I was in high school I was fortunate to have music lessons from Tish McFadden, and now, 20 years later, she will be leading a family oriented sing along after the astrology lecture. Bring your kids along and we'll sing some classics that mark the coming of Spring. Any event with Tish at the helm will be full of smiles and joyful song! The sing along begins at 4:00pm after we enjoy appetizers from Greenleaf restaurant. Desserts will be served after the sing along!

Before the celebration begins I will lead an event of my own in the morning, to introduce the Qigong classes that we'll be rolling out in a full weekly schedule beginning in March. I'll start a lecture at 9:00am that explains the principles and practices of 3 Phase Qigong. After the lecture I'll teach two classes, one that combines the first two phases, and one that gives you an experience of the third phase. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY TO PARTICIPATE!

You're welcome to attend both events or just one of them, but we ask that you register as soon as possible so we can get a head count. To register for the Lunar New Year Celebration (lecture, food and sing along), click here. To register for the Qigong workshop, from 9:00am to 1:00pm, click here.

Hope to see you there!
